Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best recognized for her appearances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. The versatility of her character has been shown on TV in shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7 and Under the Dome since she made her debut with an acting role in 2003. As of 2005 she was noticed in the first place for her portrayal of Anna as Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 It was however her role as feminist activist Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind was also recognized for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's time-travel drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season. Hind just wrapped shooting on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which will release around the middle of 2019. Her acting career began to a good start by being praised for her parts on Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Bachchan turned into the face of New Bollywood with these films which defied the basic Bollywood form of structure. Bachchan became the New Queen of Bollywood after her portrayal as the title character in Devdas 2002, one the most acclaimed Bollywood films. This film also became the first Bollywood film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. She received great praise for her role in Chokher Bali (2003), a dramatic film based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. The actress became the first Indian actress to serve on the Cannes Film Festival's jury in the same year. Bachchan played part of Gurinder Chedha's Bride and Prejudice. This musical and ballet adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice is directed by Gurinder. Bachchan was able to bring her charisma and beauty to her debut major English language film. She came back to Bollywood to star in the success Dhoom: 2 (2006) before releasing Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. Abhishek Bachchan is a Bollywood star and frequent co-star. Also, he is the son of Amitabh Bachchan.
